Seeking knowledge and wisdom is considered by many to be the most noble thing one can do with their lives.
We seek the teachings of others in order to find the answers to the questions life has given us.
When we find someone with teachings that make sense then we start to read more.
The problem is that we tend to become followers of the teachings.
Often being led into an “our way is the only way” attitude.
Many teachings say that you need to abandon your old way of thinking.
Keep in mind that no one has all the answers, their way of thinking is just as flawed as anyone else's.
If anyone had the answers that humanity has sought answers to for millennia,
It would have become apparent by now.
Science says that things science can not prove should be avoided.
Things that happen that can’t be explained should be “shrugged off” as hallucinations.
Even when the occurrence is witnessed by many, in different locations.
These things are explainable, we just haven’t figured out how.
It’s like the wind, would a scientist say that the wind did not exist because they could not mathematically prove it?
No; they acknowledged its existence and set out to prove it.
Why not with things still unexplained?
It is the ignoring of scientific fact and the wonderment of what is possible
that has caused most every major advancement in our existence.
The Wright Brothers were not mainstream scientists.
They owned a bicycle shop.
It was science that rejected Da Vinci's vision of flight so many centuries ago.
A man named Thomas H. Huxley made a statement about such things, that goes;
“In scientific work. Those who refuse to go beyond fact rarely get as far as fact”.
Fact; Man can not fly.
Fact; Man can make a device that allows him to travel without touching the ground.
Accepting the viewpoints of others does acquire knowledge.
But we need to hold on to the things reality has shown and taught us.
Knowing that things did happen. Even if everyone else says that it couldn’t have.
Don’t accept the criticisms of others, they did not experience the same life as you.
Don’t accept any one's teachings as the only path.
Maybe it is, for them, but eventually their path like everything… Will change.
We know that there are many paths and that they all lead to The Light.
Yours is unique, and your way of thinking is right.
