“Man could not live if he were entirely impervious to sadness. Many sorrows can be endured only by being embraced.” Emile Durkheim
Joy cannot exist without sadness. To truly know the bliss of happiness, a person must experience the aching of sorrow. Happiness is found in facing hardships and emerging victorious at the end. The lowest times of life are periods of transition.
Think back on struggles in your past and the strength you mustard to overcome them.
You have succeeded before - you can succeed again. Welcome the sadness of life as times to reflect on where you are and where you wish to be. When standing on the bottom of a canyon, you have nowhere to climb but up.

We know that “things happen.
We try and fail, people disappoint us.
Things happen.
It’s these times that we always seem to find ourselves alone.
Friends and family just seem to not be there.
These times are actually the best times of your life.
It’s now when we have to reflect on our life.
What is happening, why are things happening, and what do we really want to happen?
During these times we make decisions about the people in our lives as well as the direction we are going.
True it’s all done out of initial ignorance, but somehow we are led to better situations.
How are we led to the better situations?
By ridding ourselves of the people and situations that cause us discontentment, we are automatically setting ourselves up to meet other people and find new situations.
With the knowledge of what we don’t want from life and avoiding those things.
We are going to find ourselves with the things we don’t want being eliminated.
What is left are things you do want, even if you never knew you wanted them.
The times of trial and sorrow, also give us appreciation and value for the times when we are happy. Not to mention the empathy we learn from such times.
Our sorrows makes us realize the pains of life, and causes us to not want to cause such feelings in others.
Embrace your hard times, and know that they are there to teach you, so that you may teach others, as well as learn about yourself.
