The Game;
You start with a minimal number of pieces.
The play field has its boundaries. Mountainous terrain, Oceans, Deserts and Forests.
“Pieces” are normally placed on a single “Terran” for easier adaptability at the start.
But there are locations with random combinations of two or more “terrains”.
Again the “terrain layout” is random and any number of “terrains” can consist at any given location.
That’s why there are entire cities under water, underground and located in remote mountain ranges, in places where there is no way the “inhabitants” could have sustained themselves.
In the last game the tectonic plates were set up differently.
The objective is like a combination of Othello, Risk and Catan.
To have the most “pieces” and land at the end of the game.
While maintaining enough resources to sustain yourself.
Just like the computer games that have you developing cities and such.
You start your pieces with nothing.
Except there are no “npc”.
Everyone in the game or “piece” is an actual thinking entity.
Each one has to “choose” if the will help their community, be a “rogue” or
Actually do things that would disrupt society.
But only when they achieve and conquer as a society, will they “acquire”. And grow in numbers.
So “acquisitions” can only be achieved by “consent” of the “pieces”.
But unlike other games.
Sense everyone is an actual player; You can use “Influence” to get other “pieces”,
to “choose” to join your “side” or perform tasks of “acquisition”.
Just like Sim City ,The Illuminati game, and other games.
There are “cards” or “actions” that can be taken in order to help yourself,
or “hinder” others (like “Natural Disasters” or “Influence Boosters”).
You can make promises of prosperity, or threats of war.
Whatever you want to say to “influence” more “pieces” is allowed.
You can flat out lie to the “pieces” and that’s alright.
Bribe them or “take out” another “piece” that they have an “association” with.
Any kind of “influence” you want; As long as you are “acquiring” more.
The game ends when either the number of “pieces” run out (or hit a certain number).
Or: A social “sustainability” has not been able to keep up with population growth.
Or; Any other action that would cause what would be considered a “mass exodus” from one “society” to another. Chosen by and acted on by the “pieces”.
The second can actually be used as a strategy to intentionally end the game.
But; You need to make sure you already have enough pieces in other locations and land left behind by the “pieces” (which causes an automatic forfeit of land and resource claims by the “pieces” of that area). before attempting.
Once the game is over and a “winner” has been determined.
The board is cleared. New “pieces” are created, with the old ones being destroyed.
Every aspect of a “new game” is new. Completely new “pieces”, new land lay-out. Initial “piece” placement. New story line and different objectives.
The guy playing the white “chess” pieces before, will now be the guy “playing” the black ones for the next game.
It is required to “switch” back and forth.
SOOOO!
What if;
That's why your whole life you have been told that “you HAVE TO serve SOMEBODY”!
Or; In other words; “You have to let someone “acquire” you.
And why there is such clear proof that the earth has already gone through a number of “mass extinctions” (I.E. “re-sets”).
That’s why there are so many remnants and ruins of past civilizations, from different timelines that no one can seem to explain how something so old should exist. Not to mention the “unknown” building techniques used to build them.
What if;
It's because it’s from prior “games” where the “pieces” were able to develop their own technology, and it’s different from the way we do it.
It’s like if the world would have adapted Tesla electric instead of Edison.
Ancient “history” is gone because it doesn’t matter, and it’s not allowed because of the influence it could have on our “natural development”.
That was a different game.
Just like all our history will vanish.
Books won't survive the “clearing of the board”.
And electronic devices and all knowledge of them will not exist, because the “pieces” always have to start with nothing.
The new “pieces” are “clueless” and have no idea that another “game” has just been played.
Ever hear the phrase “There is nothing new under the sun” or “Everything old is new again”?
Just how “deep” do those “phrases” go?
What if; It really is just two people, playing a game?
Appeasing one of two "egos".
Just so that when it's "all over" someone gets to jump up and go "WOO HOO"!
Just pondering.
