Probably at least a good number of people have a clue of what a beam balance is.
Even for those who think they’re not aware of it, probably they just haven’t come across the term but they do use it more often in their daily lives.
A beam balance is an instrument used in measuring masses of given things.
It do have a very important part known as a fulcrum – the center of everything (the determinant of balance and imbalance).
There’s also load and effort side. For the beam balance to work effectively and provide reliable calibration; it must have a well maintained, sharp, lubricated and clean pivot.
The pivot must be located at the center of the horizontal bar; making the two halves equal. The load is placed at one side and the effort at the other side.
For equilibrium to be achieved; both sides must bear the same weight meaning that, the effort must be equivalent to the load.
From the above illustration, it’s very clear that balancing requires two things: the effort and the load.
No balancing can be necessary if at all there’s nothing to balance.
Going straight to the business of the day, human beings do have plenty of issues and circumstances.
It’s very normal because those circumstances and issues are what defines life.
The load can be anything one think needs to be worked on.
Dreams, work, hardships, emotions etc.
The most important thing to note is that the heavier the load the more efforts are needed.
If one has a goal, then the efforts needed are determined by how big the goal is.
There are no equal efforts for unequal goals and in case of that then obviously fail is inevitable.
The reason is very clear, (equal weight at both halves is what brings equilibrium) in any given situation.
Working on a given situation in inappropriate way is like having a distance between the load and pivot much shorter as compared to that of effort which will result to a wrongly achieved equilibrium – less efforts than required applied in getting something ( inappropriately accomplished goal)
Fulcrum being the most important thing that really needs to be well maintained for equilibrium to be realized, however has a goal to work for becomes the fulcrum that keeps pivoting as the beam balance tries to attain equilibrium.
The given person is more important and without him/her the goal is invalid. In other words, a beam balance without a fulcrum isn’t complete and can’t work.
Being the center of all activities, the person is expected to be well knowledgeable, strong and wise so as to ensure the realization of that particular goal.
The given person needs to be supportive to his/her own goal by ensuring that the entire process remains in a good state as on the other hand he/she shall be putting required efforts to achieve the goal.
This depicts how necessary malt tasking is in goal chasing.
The given person must be in a position of working on the goal and at the same time ensuring that all efforts made reflects, add value a brings the goal toward it’s realization.
Knowledge and wisdom are the most important aspects but determination, courage, bravery and hard work are other important aspects too.
They do go hand on hand because in case of absence of any of them, the realization of a given goal definitely shall tend to be a bit hard and indeed it might take more time than expected.
Just the same way an equilibrium can easily be achieved when the efforts applied bear the exact weight with the load without spending much time,
the same equilibrium can take unimaginable lengthy period if the effort pressure is exerted little by little.
In this case, all the required aspects makes it possible for a given person to much faster and accurately work on the given dream.
Inaccuracy makes the person keep failing while slowness makes the progress unpromising.
Patience is very important when there’s a progress but it’s wastage of time when there are no efforts being made as well as the use of inappropriate way of achieving the given goal.
