The subject of Tantrism has recently been brought into view.
I agree that there is a certain form of "enlightenment"
that (When done properly) can come from such a practise.
But it is not something that you should rely on for your ultimate advancement.
Ask yourself this;
You acquire a partner that is completely in tune with you.
And your daily rituals are producing excellent results.
But suddenly your partner dies.
What happiness to that "enlightenment"?
It was based on acts of the flesh, and now the flesh does not exist;
So that form of "enlightenment" is now unobtainable.
And you realize that now your "enlightenment" must be on an individual basis.
Like we are told it will be.
Your enlightenment is yours and yours alone.
What happens if your partner, who was perfect at the start; is unable to
"Take things to the next level"?
Do you abandon them to pursue your path?
Some will know about the young man who approached Jesus asking about
getting into heaven.
He was told to give up his possessions and follow.
We have always been told that the path to "enlightenment" is a journey of solitude.
And that we are to abandon the ways of this world.
Plus when you go back, your "enlightenment", and integrity is the only thing that will matter.
What have you achieved on your own; What have you learned?
Not you and someone else, just YOU!
What is your relationship with the creator?
How did you react when being told to do something?
Which path did you take; And why?
The why will include all of the underlying truths,
even those things we cannot admit to ourselves.
Did you rely on your own understanding, defending your actions?
Or did you keep an open heart and mind to the reality of this "school"?
Tantrism is a stepping stone.
Something that should be looked at as a ritual;
but known that the "enlightenment" is something you should thrive to achieve on your own.
Ephesians 2:9
Not by works, so that no one can boast.
